By regularly repeating this exercise, your dog will obey your order and sit, because he understands that by obeying you he will be rewarded and also because he can sense that you are pleased with his efforts. In due course your dog will obey you automatically, and the treats will no longer be necessary.

Puppies are docile, lovable and inquisitive, so it is not difficult to make friends with them and teach them to behave in a proper manner. It is possible to train a dog of any age but young puppies are easier to train as the older a dog gets the less inclined he is to learn, so teaching him new commands is not easy.
